weba acquires Gatzsch Schweißtechnik

For more than 40 years, weba has not only made the highest demands on its products and services, the toolmaking expert from Dietach, Austria, has taken the appropriate steps to be able to shape the market successfully.

weba develops and manufactures complex tools for forming of sheet metal into high-strength and ultra-high-strength structural parts made of steel, aluminum or carbon fiber for lightweight chassis construction for the global automotive sector.

With regard to a high level of customer satisfaction, the company is pursuing ambitious goals. In this context, weba refines existing technologies continuously and develops visionary approaches.

The company optimizes production methods constantly and digitalizes its processes. Furthermore, the team is ambitious to expand its product portfolio consistently: from component development to tool design and manufacture to well-founded digital validation and optimization of the series process, weba supports its customers worldwide. With Gatzsch Schweisstechnik GmbH weba has gained an important synergy partner and is thus continuing its orientation towards becoming a full-service provider for automotive suppliers. Gatzsch Schweisstechnik GmbH, based in Attendorn, was founded in 1979 and manufactures innovative partially and fully automated joining systems for the automotive supply industry. The core competence are machines and systems for resistance pressure welding of cold and hot formed car body structural parts. As a unique selling point, the modular resistance welding system concept "G-Prime" with perfect welding properties plays a special role.

With Gatzsch at its side, weba now also provides the downstream joining techniques and can therefore offer its international customers tailor-made solutions right down to complete welding groups. Gatzsch Schweißtechnik expects additional growth potentials from the cooperation with weba and will continue its current business model. In the future, Martin Gatzsch will share the management of Gatzsch Schweisstechnik GmbH with Hannes Feuerhuber.
